

ABOUT YUHSUAN HO
Yu Hsuan Ho is a classical pianist who began her musical journey at the age of six. She is dedicated to exploring music and promoting music education in her country. Celebrating diversity and cultural uniqueness, Yu Hsuan actively engages with various cultures during her travels.She has participated in prestigious events such as the Montecito International Music Festival, the Asia International Piano Academy and Festival in Korea, and the Valencia International Music Festival. Additionally, she has attended masterclasses with renowned musicians including Boris Slutsky, Alexander Kobrin, Pascal Nemirovsky, Pavel Nersessian, Timothy Ethen, and Andrew Park. Her involvement in chamber music performances includes selections for the Taipei National University of the Arts Ensemble and duos at the Montecito International Music Festival.Yu Hsuan has achieved remarkable success in her musical career, winning the gold prize in the solo competition at the International Piano Academy & Festival. She also received recognition in the classical category at the Montecito International Music Festival and earned a gold prize at the Asia International Piano Academy competition in Korea.Yu Hsuan’s passion for music drives her to create opportunities for others to explore her unique heritage through online platforms. This enthusiasm has led her to a teaching career, where she shares her knowledge and expertise. In her teaching at music classrooms in Taiwan, she focuses on not only basic musical training but also on cultivating musical ideas and aesthetics. Looking ahead, she plans to teach in various locations, integrating diverse cultural backgrounds into her teaching style. She aims to introduce music to audiences through innovative approaches on social media and to interact with listeners from different regions, sharing cultural arts and exploring diverse musical experiences together. Through platforms like YouTube, she is developing a project to create videos in her native language, providing opportunities for others to learn about music education and performance in America and beyond.She studied with Dr. Nam Yeung at Tainan University of Technology during high school and completed her bachelor's degree at Taipei University of the Arts with Mei-Ling Wang. Currently, she is pursuing a master's degree in piano performance at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University with the mentorship of Professor Benjamin Pasternack.
